Anyone suffering from arthritis understands how much the condition can make everyday life difficult.
When it’s experienced in the knees or hips, it can limit mobility and cause debilitating pain with little relief.
And while many patients find relief from over the counter drugs like ibuprofen or prescription medication, these pills take a big toll on your liver and can cause dependence or even addiction.
That’s why doctors and medical specialists are moving more and more towards healing foods and disease-specific diets. For patients with arthritis, cutting out inflammatory foods from their daily diet can have incredibly beneficial effects.

WHAT EACH INGREDIENT DOES
Turmeric has the ability to reduce pain caused by arthritis better than ibuprofen. The root also fights infections, prevents some cancers, reduces inflammation, and treats digestive and liver problems. It’s also useful in treating Alzheimer disease, Parkinson disease, multiple sclerosis, and other conditions.
Ginger decreases joint pain and reduces inflammation in people with osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). It works by suppressing inflammatory molecules and switching off certain inflammatory genes. Like turmeric, ginger provides results similar to those of ibuprofen.
Apple is one of the highest sources of quercetin, a compound with anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. Quercetin has the ability to maintain heart and blood vessel health and fight high cholesterol, heart disease, and circulation problems.
Carrots are high in beta-cryptoxanthin and other antioxidants that provide significant anti-inflammatory benefits, even when compared to anti-inflammatory drugs like Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, and Celebrex.
Lemon, particularly its peel, has incredible health benefits. Although the fruit contains citric acid, it actually has an alkalizing effect on the body. Nutrients and compound found in the peel relax blood vessels, reduce inflammation and fight nerve pain, making them a great fruit for patients suffering from arthritis.
